So, for those looking to either update or create a solid work wardrobe with a limited budget, I highly recommend you try NY & Company, which is having a holiday sale now through Sunday. However, as per my experience, it is actually cheaper to shop online than in-store; they are also offering free shipping on orders over $65 (code 1254). I love to shop there for work basics because their fabrics are uber-comfy, form-fitting, and as someone who's teetering on the short side (I'm 5'4 and a 1/2") their "petite" sizes fit right where they're supposed to, as opposed to many brands where the shorter hems sit a bit high on the leg (Old Navy's short sizes run too short for me and their regulars tend to be the slightest bit long, otherwise they tend to have good sales), which means you don't have to spend extra on tailoring! I'm lucky that the cut is just long enough to look good with heels, but allows me to also wear flats without stepping on extra fabric. You shorter women know what I'm talking about! I love this suitpant take on a "denim" inspired pant, definitely something you can dress up or down.
